The NIKI

The Netherlands Interuniversity Institute for Art History (NIKI) promotes and facilitates research and education for students, researchers and teachers of the participating Dutch universities.

Research

NIKI develops its own research projects and has built up internationally recognised expertise in several areas of interest in the early modern period.

Education

We facilitate teaching by the participating universities and offer our own teaching for students and researchers in the form of courses and working groups.

Library and databases

Our extensive collections provide access to unique material focusing on the artistic relations between the Netherlands and Italy over the centuries.

Accommodation and scholarschips

We offer extensive accommodation facilities and make various types of grants available to students and researchers for their stay at NIKI.
