The NIKI organises and facilitates courses of the participating universities and offers its own courses for students and researchers. We strive for optimal alignment with the curricula of the participating universities.

The NIKI occupies a special position within Dutch academics by offering location-based courses. Lectures are alternated with excursions and visits to other academic institutions. Our courses are usually linked to new research by our academic staff.

The NIKI provides courses at bachelor’s and master’s level. These are primarily aimed at art history students of the participating universities.

Students are advised to check with their own faculty whether the credits obtained can be used within their own curriculum. Students are also advised to check with their own university whether there are possibilities for scholarships for participation in the course.
