Gert Jan van der Sman is NIKI’s Data Protection Officer. He can be reached at niki@nikiflorence.org.
NIKI processes your personal data because you make use of our services and/or because you provide this to us yourself:
Our website and/or service has no intention of collecting information about website visitors who are under the age of 16, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to ensure that no data is collected about them without parental permission. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at niki@nikiflorence.org and we will delete that information.
NIKI processes your personal data for the following purposes:
NIKI does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that could have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (for example an employee of NIKI) being involved.
NIKI does not keep your personal data for any longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. Google Analytics data of stakeholders and students is kept for 26 months (default setting) as long as they use NIKI’s services.
NIKI does not sell your information to third parties and will only provide it if necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We have concluded a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. NIKI remains responsible for this processing.
NIKI only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe upon your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Cookies also allow us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can delete all previously stored information through your browser settings.
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by NIKI and you have the right to data transferability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to you or an organisation named by you.
You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer or request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to niki@nikiflorence.org.
